Overview
Family-based immigration is a cornerstone of the U.S. system, letting citizens and lawful permanent residents sponsor qualifying relatives for immigrant status. The spouse, parents and unmarried children under 21 of a U.S. citizen are immediate relatives (IR) with no quota wait and the fastest processing; other relatives fall into the preference categories — F1 (adult unmarried children of citizens), F2A (spouses and unmarried children under 21 of green card holders), F2B (adult unmarried children of green card holders), F3 (married children of citizens) and F4 (siblings of citizens) — each subject to a visa backlog. Depending on whether the beneficiary is inside or outside the U.S., they either file I-485 adjustment of status or go through the NVC consular process. We provide full-process legal support: relationship eligibility review, I-130 filing, priority-date management, NVC document processing and interview preparation.
