EB-1C Multinational Manager Green Card

For multinational executives and managers — no labor certification and a fast path to U.S. permanent residence.

Overview

EB-1C (Multinational Manager or Executive) is a first-preference employment-based immigrant category for foreign nationals transferred to a U.S. subsidiary or affiliate to serve in an executive or managerial role. You must have served in a qualifying managerial or executive capacity with the overseas affiliate for at least one year within the three years preceding the petition, and the U.S. company must be actively operating. No PERM labor certification is required, nor a showing of "extraordinary ability" — the focus is the genuineness of the corporate structure and the actual executive function.

Eligibility Requirements

  • A qualifying managerial or executive role abroad for at least one continuous year within the past three years
  • The U.S. entity is a real operating company (employees, revenue, premises)
  • The petitioner will serve in an executive or managerial capacity in the U.S., consistent with or higher than the overseas role
  • Lawful entry to the U.S., or transfer from an L-1A visa status
  • A qualifying corporate relationship between the foreign and U.S. entities (parent, subsidiary, affiliate)

Program Advantages

  • No PERM labor certification or extended recruitment process
  • No need to demonstrate "extraordinary ability" — a clearer, more objective threshold
  • Relatively fast approval with priority dates often ahead of some categories
  • Seamless conversion for L-1A visa holders, counting time already spent in the U.S.
  • Spouse and unmarried children under 21 obtain green cards simultaneously
